CU at Michigan

The Michigan depth chart is posted here and it is just about as good as anything else that is official or not.  Colorado's depth chart is here and it is probably close enough.  It looks like Mike MacIntyre is an experienced, up-to-date, and responsible coach.  The Pac-12 is no secret and .500 is never going to cut it long term.

Colorado football has been in on some weird gimmicks:
Colorado head football coach Mike MacIntyre said that a blood work study of his players might help him to better handle tough academic weeks this season. Every week during the 2013 season, the CU medical staff conducted blood tests on the Buffs. MacIntyre was enlightened when looking at the results.
A sweaty Jim Leavitt is strange too.

Cornerbacks Chidobe Awuzie and Ahkello Witherspoon, and others, are big-time players.  The Pac-12 is almost like illegal collusion, they will get bigger, better, and richer; national recruits--maybe not top ones--who stay 4-5 years will be good.  Colorado is a (fairly) big and growing state and it can support one good football team.  But Mike MacIntyre is no Chris Peterson.

As for the game, Colorado shot out of a cannon because that was the only way.  Sefo Liufau or no--geez, take yourself out of the game--the line of Ryan Glasgow, Chris Wormley, Maurice Hurst, and Rashan Gary, among other players and position groups, was too much.  Harbaugh said after the game that they saw something in the kicks that made it into the air and they also saw something in the ones before they were blocked.  There were more of those.  You just don't see a guy stand in front of the punter and do it with his face very often.

We decided to go all analytical and whip out the telestrator.  This is from an earlier game:

These go back to the first game of the season and Channing Stribling's interception.

And finally, sorry about your little hospital on the sideline, but...

2013 to 2016 Colorado is last in the Pac 12 in recruiting ranking.

This year their schedule is brutal:

Mike MacIntyre may be a good coach--he was one of those one-year wonders from San Jose State.  Colorado may be getting better and so far they have looked good this year.  But that kind of recruiting isn't going to cut it in the Pac 12.

This is MacIntyre's fourth year.  The 2016 recruiting class shows no identity or relative success--a few juco transfers and a smattering of 3-stars within the Pac 12 footprint and Florida.  Fighting for 6-6, a bowl, and a job isn't about excelling at all.

Michigan is looking toward the end of the season and, because of Harbaugh, they will not be denied each and every game.  A few new-this- season names may pop-up, like Jordan Lewis?

As for the home-state Buffs, we'll see.  If Colorado can play through that schedule without MacIntyre being fired, they must be pretty good.  So probably it'll be a game and a welcome challenge.

Michigan 45-14.
