It is disappointing the Nittany Lions were not more competitive. A lot of fans want more.
Having found a way to limit quarterback scrambles, Michigan's defensive line cut-off Penn State's offense. Probably there was excellent coverage in the secondary (although there were several pass interference calls), but the line was excellent against the running and passing. Penn State could never come close to a comeback because the pocket was constantly collapsing. Glasgow, Wormley, Hurst, Godin, Charlton, Gary, and Winovich dominated.
A number of running backs would have had 100-yard games if there had been more carries. Butt and Darboh (and Speight) once again created first downs and big gains (Chesson has just 8 receptions for the season). The Michigan offense was diverse and relatively unstoppable.

Everyone, and I mean everyone, has chimed in with an editorial on the Penn State sex scandal. Many, because Pennsylvania is such a populous and influential state, are much closer to it than I am.
Joe Paterno was going to retire after the 2011 season but the massive scandal turned that into a firing. Tom Bradley continued as head coach. Paterno died early the next year.
Jerry Sandusky was indicted in November, 2011 and convicted in June, 2012. His last game as PSU coach was December, 1999. Most of his crimes date to the late '90's although several alleged victims have come forward with earlier accusations.
It seems even longer, but five years is still a long time. Numerous legal activities continue. It is clear that the scandal has not gone away.
I wonder how his wife could let it go on. She was closest to him and it happened in the house while she was there. But that is not the point here.
It all happened because of one man, Jerry Sandusky. He is the only one who actually did it and he did it over and over again like the sick, deranged, sociopath that he is. He alone has been given the ultimate penalty short of death--shunned and isolated by everyone.
He is the only perpetrator and it is all his fault. Everyone else--indicted, fired, or ostracized--was doing their job and got caught up in it. Could they have made mistakes and did their job maybe require more responsibility? Absolutely.
Remember the line, repeated over and over again in the movie Good Will Hunting? It's not your fault. To everyone in Happy Valley who is not in jail or driven-out, it is not your fault. Stop worrying about it!

THE GAME
I believe missing a guy like Jourdan Lewis hurts. Put another way, you are much better with him in there.
Michigan is going to play a great game. The combination of the receivers plus Butt, diverse running game, and speed around the edge will be too much. Trace McSorley is going to get hurt; Saquon Barkley will find a way to score a little and they have a good kicker.
A strong Penn State is good for everyone. I'm over it and I wish them well. But they're going to hit Michigan at a time when the Wolverines put it all together.
M 45-10.
