Rest Kobe Bryant

Marlow Stern.  There's a name to remember.

It is an amazing story, when you meet your maker.  When it comes in the form of a 19-year old woman who is maybe a little sequestered in Aspen and Eagle, Colorado, you know it is real.

His performance in the Olympics was amazing, and he was a great basketball player.

It reminds me just a little of the Black Candle Confession (Dateline) and the life of Corey Weineke.  The woman was caught some 25 years later.  She may have lived a better life since she thought she had gotten away with murder.

It is also reminiscent of At the Bottom of the Lake, another recent Dateline episode.  Don't come around here with your ways or crimes.

I will remember him as the pig he was at the time.  Bryant got a reprieve and we don't know what happened since.  Up until that night in Colorado he was just like all the rest.  Weinstein, Epstein, Cosby, and many others.  They are recidivists of the worst kind.  It is predatory and it is not a fair fight.

In this one, it is a gross reminder of athletes and hormones.  Today Bryant would be in prison regardless of money and that is a good thing.  There can be no question that it was not the first or only time.

The young woman in Colorado handled it with class and she is a hero.

It only took about 10 seconds to do a little research and finish this post.  Bryant, his daughter, and 7 others...

Kobe and his daughter were not more important than the seven others.
