It started on a bad note in that Wisconsin was beatable even at home. That game showed how fragile Michigan is, what with the starting five, a sixth man, and little more. I for one am impressed with their accomplishments nonetheless.
Minnesota played well and Pitino is a good coach. Anyway, Brazdeikis was chief bricklayer and Jordan Poole, I forget which game it was, he looked ill. He could barely shoot a free throw.
Indiana cures all. I thought this was supposed to be a road loss, especially with Michigan not looking so good. But who knew they had not won a game since the first loss to Michigan? Juwan Morgan and Romeo Langford are very good players; suspensions, injuries, and Archie Miller looks like a moron. I have seldom seen a team so disorganized, unmotivated, and just plain terrible. A look back at their recent schedule shows several of the losses were not close. Folks at Assembly Hall were booing with every good reason. It is obvious the team has looked bad before. The love is not unequivocal and in that way the place will never be the same. This one is worth a look if the full game shows up.
For Michigan it was heal-o-rama. Iggy woke up and other players contributed enough 3's to keep the Hoosiers down. Romeo, wherefore art thou? Man are they terrible.
Ohio State is next. They went through the same 5-game (Indiana's is now 6) streak of failure the Hoosers did. They are beatable too at home.
So, until further notice, the 19-1 basketball team is still a favorite to close it out in strong fashion. In the Indiana game some other players got some run. Let's hope they can contribute when needed because the stats are not beautiful.
RE the football team, the thing that sticks in my mind is umbig11 chiming-in with "Harbaugh was pissed." That would be with regard to Bush and Higdon opting out. The truth is it affects a lot of programs on Michigan's level. And Pep, he of the ugly demeanor and Thanksgiving-dining instructions, is still around.
