The dull

It is not Harbaugh's fault.  I mean, maybe he could wear different clothes once in a while to spruce things up, but the whole thing is pretty dull.

And that is not a commentary on the highways, potholes, or weather.

It is a top 10 or even higher recruiting class.  The major outlets are proclaiming Michigan a winner.

Still, it is boring.

So it is on to the Peach Bowl.  Perhaps the nice weather indoors at Mercedes-Benz stadium in Atlanta, not even Florida, will be a draw.

Rashan Gary is gone and irrelevant and so is Devin Bush.  Karan Higdon, who will probably make the league and hang-on for who knows how long, is a drop-out too.

Cornerbacks David Long and Lavert Hill will test the waters and hopefully not fall in.

Oh, and instead of playing and looking to next year, Aubrey Soloman was in such a hurry to begin sitting out that he decided to abandon the team.  Greener pastures in Knoxville are bound to be fake and bye bye.

Next up, Christian Turner.

But that's in terms of the Peach Bowl.  For next year and the future, the recruiting class is large and deep.  There are 4-star recruits at just about every position.  It is workmanlike, and they will reload.

Next year the offense will be good.  Dax came back and the defense will find a way too.

Overall, the football team is in a good position to do what they do best.  They will beat up on the little guys, the ones without million dollar assistants and a conference room full of analysts.  Expectations may even rise mid-season or beyond.  But in the end, at least until there is reason to think otherwise, they will fail.
