Master motivator.
Michigan did not look so great against Illinois either.
That was the game that FB/DL Ben Mason started it by elbowing Hobbs in the face. Uche smacked someone out of bounds shortly after that. Later it was Kemp with hands to the face.
It is as if the players are told this is a W on the schedule. Show them who's boss.
Michigan was in the lead 28-0 at Illinois and pulled it out.
In terms of the schedule, Michigan had been walloped by Wisconsin, beat Rutgers of course, and then won a close one at home against Iowa.
They were beginning to find themselves in terms of a dominant defense and an offense that moved the ball sometimes, but they were not there yet in Champagne.
Michigan State was not as fortunate at home. So they lost? Before that they had beaten most teams. Then they lost in dominant fashion to Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Penn State in order.
Why are so many people calling it the end of Mark Dantonio at Michigan State?
He has always been cranky, crabby, and uncouth. It is expected that it would get worse as he aged.
Now Michigan State is 2-4/4-5. Rutgers and Maryland are left. I am pretty sure the Spartans know that this is a big game.
Anyway, Harbaugh called Dantonio a master motivator. We can all be pretty sure that Sparty will play their best game of the season. But the question is, how did Joe Bachie do against Illinois?
