Michigan State Prediction

If it is about bragging rights and another year as the bigger brother for whoever wins---and it is---then that makes for a pleasant week.  No, I am not going to subscribe for more information, but that seems like an awful lot.  Two touchdowns is a lot of points and an 84% win probability is high.

What are the odds that Mark Dantonio will come out scowling as opposed to smiling?  100%.

It is also 100% certain that his expression will not change throughout the entire game and the postgame too.

And because of all that, if I were betting and I am not, I would take Michigan State and the points.  I think there is a better than 50% chance Michigan wins (or loses) by less than two touchdowns.

There is also a chance Michigan blows up.  What is the motivation?  It is simple and obvious.  If we cannot go to the Big Ten Championship let's beat up on little brother.  Better yet, let's beat on them anyway.

But back to our main story because Mork just has to do it.  If he didn't, they would lose far more often.

Some say in betting, go with the team you do not want to win, then if you lose at least your team won, right?

Here is some more motivation.  They lost to Illinois and we sure can't lose to them!  At home!!

Then there is 2017

One other thing for sure besides the perpetual Dantonio frown is anyone who is downplaying the watchability of this game, because of its importance, is wrong.  I cannot wait.

To fill the time I will watch this. After watching it, now I understand the Brian Lewerke concussion controversy.  He did undergo concussion protocol after the head hit.  How soon after the head to head?

Last year Lewerke was totally spooked by Michigan.  Michigan State didn't have the weapons and he had to do it all by himself.  And he kept getting hammered.  This year it is hard to figure Elijah Collins with a huge day.  I still don't think State has the firepower and it is going to be a long day for Lewerke at Michigan stadium.

For Sparty on defense, despite two NFL defensive ends, MSU is not the same as in past years.  The problems appear to start in the back end at cornerback.  The loss of Bachie does not help.  Michigan does have the weapons to break some plays.  And Shea is not nearly as big a risk to get spooked, rattled, or injured as Lewerke.

Michigan 31, Michigan State 14.
