Citrus Bowl Preview

Jim Harbaugh vs. Jim McElwain, and their respective teams, will play in the Citrus Bowl.

We still don't know exactly what will happen with the Michigan football roster following this season.  Actually, it is year-round--recruit signing day is coming up and then Spring ball, Summer camps, etc.  What happens with the roster will be a big factor in assessing his first year.

There will be tough decisions and all indications are that Harbaugh will deal with them in a considered and studious way.  He will do it in a way that is very close to what is best for all concerned.  What we don't know is which players will choose to leave and how they will do it.

The playoff is working and Clemson-Alabama is right on.  All the bowls, and specifically Minnesota and Nebraska, are just too much.  But for Harbaugh and Michigan it is year-round.  This is not just showing-up at the Detroit Bowl.

For Michigan it has been a very good to almost great season.  In terms of wins and losses, there were close wins and one close loss, overall resulting in a nice record.  Most everyone seems to be exited and all in.

I don't know what is going on in the SEC with coaching changes.  Jim McElwain is in the middle of it.  Florida has talent and some iffy apples (e.g., the suspended/transfer quarterback) too.

Michigan is more in.

M 31-10.
