Michigan 20 Rutgers 13

Take Wisconsin and the negative points.

Cade McNamara to Mike Sainristil and Erick All is a fool's game.

Josh Ross alone cannot save the defense.

I predict it is going to get really hot for Jim Harbaugh in Ann Arbor.  With eight games left, Northwestern could be the only win.  Several of the remaining seven games will be humiliating.

How pathetic is it that Matt Campbell represents an optimistic future?

The seven-year history as coach in Ann Arbor is well known.  He just makes too many enemies.  Probably the most memorable is Brian Cook at Mgoblog, who tarnished his career and the relationship with his hometown, college, and the lifeline to his blog by repeatedly suggesting Harbaugh suffers from CTE.

Harbaugh insists on interminable, relentless, boring-as-hell "old school" football that does not work anymore.  Tight ends, fullbacks, and the like are his only props for success.  He is ignorant of, and out of touch with, the modern game.

This year, after pledging to right the ship, recruiting is down further and virtually nothing has happened in months.  Michigan will barely be in the top 20.

In this game it is appropriate to recognize Greg Schiano.  I may even go back and listen to what he had to say; I'm sure he was respectful of Michigan.  From body language alone, he looks content with the overall situation.  It is no surprise in that he is a seasoned coach making millions of dollars and with true affection for Rutgers and the Big Ten; he has many reasons to be satisfied with his place in life.  Rutgers has benefited from transfers, and vice versa.  They are as solid as most Big Ten schools, in sports and academically.

Anyone who watched the game knows that by the end and for most of the second half, the Scarlet Knights were pushing Michigan around.  Call it rebuilding, but a moral victory is more accurate.

Michigan football succeeds only because of its fans, budget, reputation and the like.  It has always been thus and Harbaugh doesn't have a clue.  When you watch Michigan football you may think they are good or getting better but it is myopia.  Watch other teams and games--like Nebraska-Michigan State, the SEC, or even the Pac 12.  Michigan football is average.  And at this stage of his career, Jim Harbaugh is a mediocre coach.  I'd like to see him at Memphis, or Colorado State, or San Diego State again...  He would fail miserably.

Gabby Petito said to an officer "I have really bad OCD."  (Obsessive compulsive disorder.)  I think she and Brain Laundrie were fairly normal.  Nothing I see is any more abnormal than checking Reddit or posting to the Mgoblog forum twenty times a day.

It is going to be a long football season and I have plenty of time to roll out the personality disorder adjectives.  Narcissistic and delusional come to mind immediately.  I think Jim Harbaugh's fall is going to be a big one.

As these things go, he won't get it.
