John Beilein

In my opinion (everything here is my opinion), John Beilein is replaceable at Michigan.  Recruiting and attrition--filling the roster--was always an issue.  Some of his teams were not very good.  He had a penchant for stubbornness and showing outward signs of giving up at times.  Although rare, those situations could be "disrespectful" to the players and fans.

Fairly recently he had the weird incident where he said the officials were wrong, when they weren't, about intentional fouling at the end of a game.  An example of inflexibility was his autobench rule for personal fouls.

To his great credit at Michigan, Beilein had a system that worked when it was on.  The spread floor, 3-pt. shooting, and passing could beat any team anywhere, even teams like Duke, Kentucky, and Kansas with more size and possibly more talent.

Also, Beilein's success at Michigan was due to being clean and scandal-free.

After some time off, it is likely he takes another college job.  Particularly if his son is there, it is not likely Juwan is moving on anytime soon.
