Michigan at Northwestern

I wonder if Michigan will score.

It is 0-4 and, you know how it is, I had to make a pizza first.

We're back and it is 22-18 good guys.  Now it is 30-18.

The highlight so far is the Papadia from Papa Johns.  And I would say the picture is clear, and in HD.

Teske is like 1 for 50 all from three feet.  Other wisdom:  both the Northwestern coaches are failures.

More to the point, at the start, even though Michigan could not score, it looked like they were toying with the Wildcats.  Northwestern is dead last in the B1G.  Michigan is near the bottom but they are a lot better than Northwestern.  Nance, there is a name.  It does not look like Northwestern has any kind of a go-to guy.  They look weak all over.

For Michigan, who is not in...  Zavier Simpson.  DeJulius is playing and Nunez and Austin "Spark" Davis are playing too.  Davis is a better shooter than Teske.  Brandon Johns has some moves.  Franz Wagner has good size and his court awareness, e.g., tipping the ball and helping on defense, is much improved.

38-23 at the half.

Michigan only has 7 regular season games left after tonight.  The Big Ten is not great.  Will Michigan be a winner over that stretch?  Livers is back and it is time for the team to show some improvement.  The NCAA tournament is an achievable goal.

Northwestern reminds me of Michigan a few years ago.  They are soft.  And they are terrible rebounders.

Boo Booby just got a flopping warning.  Boo Buie.  I am curious, does Northwestern basketball do any recruiting at all?  I would think that a city like Chicago and a scholarship to Northwestern would be attractive.

Let's hope they all enroll.

Michigan 79-55.  Juwan presser.

Walk softly and carry big hands.

Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider made his way out to California over the weekend to interview the young star. While he seemed to not give any indication on what he is planning on doing or when he will decide to commit, Webb returned home and put in a 247Sports Crystal Ball pick to Michigan ($). Shortly after, Josh Henschke of TMI followed Webb in forecasting Christopher to Ann Arbor.

Those things tend to be more click bait than anything else, but Sam Webb's gut is legendary.  Don't discount the current team because the season is just starting.  It is fun to watch energy on the recruiting trail and in the rumors again.  Dylan McCaffrey, now there's a name and he might be the best of all the McCaffreys; we'll get to that.  Anyway, it is getting awfully close to another Fab 5.  Isaiah Todd started it by bucking the trend, whether he shows up in Ann Arbor or not (and I think he will).  Imagine, the top player in North Carolina?  Stealing a top player from UCLA and USC would be a similar coup.
