I always thought Bruce Underwood was a good basketball coach because he looks like a basketball coach.  But the Illini have not been that good.  They are good this year and I don't know how or why.

The guy Coburn is big and good.

I'll tell you, Michigan is not a good shooting team.  Brooks has disappeared.  Livers, he is not a prototypical 20-pt. scorer.  Johns just threw up a brick.

I still don't think Franz is very good.  What promo were the announcers referencing?  Rave about him.  Even if, and it is a big if, he is a recovering good shooter that is not enough.  He adds nothing elsewhere on the court.

Simpson is working and has scored a few.  Teske too.

It is Kofi Cockburn.  Not unsurprisingly he was a top-50 recruit.  The announcers cannot pronounce it.

Michigan has had 17 points for quite a while.

Uh oh, Nunez is coming in.  If I were him, and if I was a scholarship, Division 1 athlete, I would lift weights or something.

It is something of a broken record.  The roster is weak.  Juwan is pushing all the right buttons in terms of strategy and personnel.

6 of 23 and Nunez is a shooter.

Let's take a quick look.  Michigan is ranked at #5 and #7 in the country, trading places with Gonzago whom they beat.  That is awfully high but we will take it.

Everyone is dressed in orange but they are not very boisterous.

Michigan 28, Illinois 30 at halftime.
