The end of the season.
The optimistic view is that is a very tough road practice for Ohio State and you better be ready. Continue and, if possible, improve. The season is nearly over and this is no time for a letdown.
The other more pessimistic perspective is that Indiana football is... Well what is it? They play in the Big Ten East so they are going to play Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State every year. None of this stuff like Minnesota only fearing Wisconsin.
This is the time of the season when you are either at your best or you are packing it in. Like baseball, you are playing prospects. The "games behind" are insurmountable.
Or, you are saying we are going to rise to the upper echelon. The ones who raise their hands. Those who are up for any challenge.
Indiana got creamed by Ohio State in just the third game of the season. They lost to Michigan State. Last week they lost by a touchdown at Penn State, as did Michigan. Indiana beat Nebraska and Northwestern from the West. They lost their starting quarterback but Peyton Ramsey has been plenty good against Michigan and others too.
The motivation? If Michigan wants it to be The Game against Ohio next week they better come out and play. If they do, they will win.
Michigan 31 Indiana 17.
Elsewhere, Houston Baptist proves if you have 12 players you can field a basketball team. Michigan and Juwan are 4-0. Howard has been impressive. He said he wants to coach and he means it.
Jeb Jackson stayed commited and that was the only news from the early signing period.
Against Houston Baptist Howard emptied the bench and that did not look pretty, In fact the starting lineup (i.e., Nunez) is not pretty either. Austin Davis, Jaron Faulds, and others are downright ugly.
