Jaaron Simmons hasn't exactly lit the world on fire.

Neither, really, have Michigan's two biggest men's teams even though they are both doing well these days.

In football Urban Meyer and Ohio State have set the bar so high it is a huge challenge to break out of the Big Ten.  If you can do it, beat Ohio State and Penn State to win the east, you are likely a bowl championship team.  Penn State may not be that good year after year, but as long as Urbz is there the Buckeyes will be.  And to be the champion you have to beat Michigan State too.

The basketball team is also looking good.  John Beilein has a winning formula and recruiting has been strong.  Can they beat the best team and be champions?  With Michigan basketball you never know until the end of the year.  So far it doesn't look like it.
