Purdue prediction

The huge Purdue football fanbase is jacked.

They're still a MAC team.  Maybe they're a good MAC team, but Michigan will come prepared to gain a victory over a MAC team.

If you read about Jeff Brohm and Purdue football a word that appears a lot is "confidence."

In the bigger view Purdue has been really bad for a really long time.  Whatever was going on with the last coach didn't work on the field and there aren't too many positive remnants of it either.  Brohm has installed a spread, misdirection, short-pass offense that has worked.  Defensively they've been better than last year under a new, journeyman-but-successful defensive coordinator.

But wait, when was Brohm hired?  He probably hasn't changed or replaced the entire team just yet.

The Purdue schedule is like a MAC schedule.  Missouri?  History there would suggest they have a lot of racial unrest, nearby riots, and otherwise it is about the dullest place anyone deemed to put a college campus.  (INSERT IMAGE OF ROSS-ADE STADIUM HERE.)  It was a real coup for the SEC.  I would fear Minnesota more than Purdue.  Nebraska--when you fire your AD because the football team isn't good you've got problems; Illinois and Rutgers are everyone's worst Big Ten teams.  Certainly Wisconsin, maybe Iowa, perhaps Indiana, there are strong opponents on the schedule but they miss over half of the B1G powers.

They're playing in a different league.  Maybe they'll limp along, claim resurrection and go to a bowl game,  Those who watch this game will know different.

Everyone shoots for Michigan.  Ask Air Force in the Big House.  Just think, could the Boilermakers pull an upset?

When was the last time anyone unbiased, rational, or knowledgeable said that?

Michigan has Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Ohio State still to come after the we'll-see-if-they-are-pesky-or-not Boilermakers.

Brohm came from Western Kentucky and the Harbaughs (e.g., Jack) have a certain knowledge of that.  Their quarterback, I had to do a double-take when I saw that they had won one or more games and their quarterback was having all this success because I didn't see it; Ace says (more than once) he has a weak arm.  Finally, Magnus says by about 20 and that seems right.

Michigan 40-20.

How Michigan will score 40 points is anyone's guess.  I just think they're farther along in rebuilding than Purdue.
