Ace at mgoblog is my only link to Michigan basketball these days. But Ace let me down on this one. What happened, was it a home game for Michigan, and the other team had to travel three days by bus in the snow to get there? Was the Texas team afflicted by some rare plague, and only walk-ons played? It is not fun to watch kids doing what they're forced to do look bad.
This from a victory. If your name starts with a Z it's going to be recognizable.
With 1:56 to play, Kerwin Roach gave Texas a 50-48 lead, and Michigan looked to be in a very tight spot when Zak Irvin's entry pass bounced out of bounds off Wagner's hands on the following possession. The Wolverines played suffocating defense to force an airball, and Wagner halved the margin with a free throw, then gave Michigan a 51-50 lead with a putback off a missed Irvin layup with 14 seconds to play.-----
Zak Irvin as a shot creator? Twice at the end to lose.
Michigan is not a good 3-point shooting team.
John Beilein is stubborn. Always has been, always will be.
This is a bookmark after the South Carolina disaster.
The football season is more or less over and now we are left with this.
