For now, he is very wise for not saying anything.
Of course he has pushed it, and kind of like Dave Brandon, it is too much with the money and the brand.
Probably there will be less ostentatious work-arounds.
Warde Manuel looks dopey for his predictions that the Summer is a go.
And for the time being Mike Leach is a fine spokesman. So is this guy:
They sound like FIFA! Bunch of paid off m-fers.

https://twitter.com/chengelisThere are some smart people chiming-in and this one is not going to go away. Mike Leach said it well with "manners." Ace said it in advance when Hugh Freeze started it. David Shaw said the truth in that it is a result of Harbaugh. Dantonio too is right that there is potential for abuse.
There is something to be learned about human nature or the bad side. What's in it for me is everywhere. Coach Freeze's comments about wanting to be with family--is that a swipe at Harbaugh because he doesn't want to?--are immaterial. Who is Paul Finebaum? Urbz is hung-up on texting.
Mike Leach, he of Pepperdine law school, promises to look into the vote. Camps in L.A. are important to Washington State. His list of Pac12 schools without big names and in less populous places is impressive: Utah, Arizona, Arizona State, Washington State, Oregon State (perhaps Washington and Colorado too).
The voting process, that’s a rabbled-up mystery too,” Leach said. “From what I understand, this is befuddling, and I do plan to find out because our conference voted to eliminate satellite camps, and yet the vast majority of schools in our conference were in favor of satellite camps.
It appears that the selfish interests of a few schools and conferences prevailed over the best interests of future potential student-athletes,” WSU coach Mike Leach said in a text message to the Seattle Times. “The mission of universities and athletic programs should be to provide future student-athletes with exposure to opportunities, not to limit them. It appears to me that some universities and conferences are willing to sacrifice the interests of potential student-athletes for no better reasons than to selfishly monopolize their recruiting bases.
I will be fascinated to hear any legitimate reasoning behind this ruling.
Magnus tried to write an objective appraisal. Money, expenses, and budgets seems to be the biggest inequity, but the smaller less-advantaged schools are the ones most in favor of the camps. Really, you don't need a private plane to spend a few days at a high school.
For those of us who follow recruiting, it is not an exact science. The big guys can't get all the recruits and people in the know realize that.
Harbaugh is getting a little boisterous, but that is Harbaugh. He is right--there was not a lot of consideration or study involved. But it wasn't "the NCAA" who made the decision (yet), it was a vote of conference representatives.
There will be more study and it will be changed or relaxed.
Good guys vs. bad guys.
